playmobil, lego and sylvanians

how do you all store these things, i have been keeping them in original boxes but we have too much now so doesnt really work, do you try to seperate it all or just give in and let it mass together in one big box.

depends how much you have

you can separate by theme
eg one box for space lego, one for 'town' lego (hospital / fire engine / houses / vets / bin men all mixed up), one for 'knights and castles' etc

ditto playmobil (no Romans in the building site)

sylvanians all go in together

Sylvanians permanently live in their houses, we have a sets of plastic drawers and Ikea Trofast units to store the odd bits of Playmobil and Lego

think that i am too anal to have this stuff really,was outraged when ds put his cars in his medieval fort and used as garage.

misshardbroom, Sylvanians trouble me too. You are not alone.

i use lunch boxes and tubberware etc.

usually let the children decorate the boxes in stickers etc.

We have one box for lego (not enough to separate and DS is only really into the City stuff)
2 boxes for playmobil - one with broken up buildings ready for making and then another for little bits. WOuld like this organised further but DS has other ideas.

Am awating SF when DD is bigger

have been and bough 2 trolley things with plastic drawers,tomorrow will organise the mass of tiny plastic pieces. thanks for the advice
