Have now also booked tickets for Country Living Show in Islington with mates. It has now become a tradition! Might have to take Mum along too! It will be very embarrassing with her when she tells everyone she can do that 'far cheaper' Her other favorite 'Don't you know I'm Spanish' Then the person looks puzzled 'of course we have been doing that for years!!!!' Even in Spain she does that!!!

dylsmum1998 · 04/01/2010 13:51

Evening all.
Haven't caught up with the thread yet, just popping in for 10 mins before cooking tea.

Today I managed to clear out and wipe down the under sink cupboard in the kitchen and TD some washing while another load was put in the WM.

Oh and i made soup.

Other than that, i have spent the day playing with a 2yr old lol!

Tomorrow the decs will be coming down!

Makingchanges · 04/01/2010 18:25

Evening all

Tort sounds like a lovely day. Jas you have my sympathies on the boiler, never break in Summer do they or in milder weather - suppose thats cos they aren't used much.

Well day didn't go as planned as DD been quite mardy today and trying to get attention at every opportunity, I think we will both be gld when she goes back to nursery, definately needing to let off some steam with her friends, so have had to relent and play some of her xmas games with her etc. Also...

Take christmas tree and dec down, box up and put in loft - 1/2 done - all decs down but waiting on DH to come home as have no parcel tape to tape up boxes
Make breadcake as have no bread and although not much snow here my drive is like a skating rink - Cheated and called DH to bring a loaf home as ran out of time
Make WW Spag Bol for tea. - cooking as we speak - Spells yummy
Whats for lunch - No idea yet cos need to try and not do sandwiches - Done
Sort out paperwork mountain on kitchen side and pay some bills - Done
Finish off the assignment that I have been writing since NYD - Not a chance to even look at it
Find Nursery uniform - I washed in last day of term but not seen it since - Not found
Loads and loads of washing - Done

So need to find uniform tonight. Maybve DH knows where it is. Did manage to strip and wash bedding today though so thats a job gone from later in the week.

May bbl

wendyhappysmile · 04/01/2010 19:02

Blimey it's lovely and bustling on here today. hello to all
Just snatching 2 mins as DC in the bath happily playing. DS is pleased to be at school. I have come to the conclusion he is best when directed i.e. painting, craft, reading with adult, drawing on side of bath, at school - but not so good when just confronted with a house full of toys to choose from. He just misbehaves. DD on the other hand is really good at just getting on with it! A bit of a revelation for me to work this out as it means I can do something about his wild behaviour!

Right
Dones today
Lidl
Mum's
Library
charity shop - got DD a lovely pair of Next curtains for £4! Amazing.
post office
made homemade pizza for tea
tidied
played
washing

BB later perhaps or tomorrow

scattyspice · 04/01/2010 19:12

Yes wendy my ds much the same.

Have been busy:
reccyling out
Christmas tree etc down and stashed in loft
changed our bed
cleared kitchen hotspot (found Xmas card supposed to have been sent to Australia )
laundry x2
plants watered
sandwiches made
sink shines

OverflowingFestiveMum · 04/01/2010 19:31

Evening all

Everyone very busy indeed!
Have aslo been trying to recue the house from Christmas chaos here today LOL
Am making slow progress!
Had a play with mynew sewingmachine this afternoon when DD4 at nursery and Ds2 napping...made some hanging storage pockets for the girls beds... not the neatest of creations...but I I will get better!

Now need to continue with washing catch up...
Need to do some planning and calendar updating...

Will try and catch up on thread...and BBL

dylsmum1998 · 04/01/2010 19:40

wendy my ds was the same when he was little i had to have things on the go constantly, he just seemed to get overwhelmed by the thought of 'just' going to play and would create havoc instead

just a little update on what i have managed today in the hope it motivates me to continue

done;

tidy
hoover
s&S bathroom
iron
send ds to schoool
wake dd
a little zone clean
load and unload washer
strip and remake dc beds
dinner
wash up
bath dd
send ds for shower
make tomorrows lunches
make tomorrows dinners
wipe out oven
play with dd
snooze on sofa

dc are now drinking their hot choc before i start sending them to bed

need to;
pack bags for tomorrow
wipe and put away clean dishes
shine sink
unload washer

have also made a mental note of things i want to achieve tomorrow, tis fairly small as i am in uni all day, but if i manage it i will at least be achieving something slowly

dylsmum1998 · 04/01/2010 19:43

greyskull- what was your NYR?

overflowing- i love those tidy pockets they are avery good idea!

TeaMonster · 04/01/2010 19:57

Evening all

I have had quiet a productive day, but my carpal tunnel is causing me a lot of pain, so no sewing at the moment for me, unlike you OFM. I think it is fantastic, what a greta first project.

Still didnt find DS1's book, ho hum

Boys are in bed,we are on the sofa with a big blanket, all is well with the world

ByThePowerOfGreyskull · 04/01/2010 21:44

more sex

have had a good day, not housework wise but socially. meeting this morning, lunch with friends then tea with other friends this afternoon.

boys into bed 7pm prompt, need to get my arse into gear tomorrow.

Tea, sorry to hear your CT is in bad
Dyls, not seen you for ages. Hope you are well.

Overflowing were you Galen?

Wendy good to see that you may have a breakthrough with regard to DS's behaviour

Makingchanges, we are looking forward to school starting as well, DS's really need to be with their friends.

Hi to all just watching hustle. bbl with stuff to do tomorrow.

swanriver · 04/01/2010 22:34

We've had a very calm day here.
Everyone was lovely after school and played without telly for hours, and even did their homework when I asked them to. All very strange, are they pyschic about my new masterful parent resolution?
Ds1 has got very fat since his accident. I am now a bit worried as he has always eaten anything I put in front of him. Hopefully when he gets on his feet properly that will use up some more energy. Or maybe it is what 9 year olds do before turning into adolescents. So I will have to redouble my efforts to get them all swimming walking etc.

You are brave to have tackled the bobbins OFM in such a short time

TM - I too am feeling the CT syn in this cold weather. I've started taking rosehip pills, which is what my mum takes for her arthritis.

oh bath overflowing got to dash.

dylsmum1998 · 04/01/2010 22:48

Greyskull, sounds like dh may like your nyr

swan my ds has filled out from about the age of 9, he is not fat, but noway near as thin as he used to be. i don't know if that is normal, he looks bigger than some of his friends who are still rakes, but there re much much bigger children in his class

dylsmum1998 · 05/01/2010 08:36
