i seem to clean mine all the sodding time yet it constantly has a dirty look to it, its the actual bits that heat up that look dirty, other bit is stainless steal so looks fine. was used to gas previously so slightly confusing!

What kind of hob is it? Are the rings solid or like a coil? Mine are solid and I got some cleaner cloth things from lakeland to make them nice and black again. Have just checked website and they don't seem to do them anymore will have to think.

I just wipe it. I've got some special cleaner, but it doesn't seem to do much more than my wipe over with a damp cloth anyway.

Well... mine used to have a lovely shine, until D H decided to clean it with green scratchy pan scrubs when it was only 2 weeks old

you need some hobrite - comes in an orange bottle...

itshappenedagain · 03/01/2010 18:41

they are solid and even with a good wipe over still look grubby. am slightly anal picky about kitchens and appliances! will look into lakeland or possible johh lewis.
*heqet what is the cleaner called and where could i possibly buy some?

Doctor Power! Its one of those JML produces, but it cleans very well without scratching, and can be used to clean lots of other things. £4.99 wilkinsons
