Greyskull Congratulations on the birth of your nephew!

overflowing Drooling over Easter crafts already!

wendy I hope you're starting to feel better now you're on antibiotics.

Ruby You're a bad, bad, girl! Your poor dh!

I'm up early as dh woke me with his snoring. I lay in bed for an hour before I got up around 4.15am. The dog was rather bleary eyed when I came downstairs but the cat seemed pleased to see me! I've had brekkie, have taken my tablets and written a letter. I've also put some info on the calendar. I think I'll write a b/d card and get it posted later on. It is going to Guernsey and the b/d is the 5th so I've probably left it a bit too late. Ooops.

I still have a 2010 diary I don't want. It is pretty ordinary but useful I guess if you don't want to go out and buy one! I'm happy to post to anywhere in the UK.

Off to do something as we're going away o/n and I've not packed or anything. Have a good New Year's Eve one and all!

wow that was an early start simply will you be pooped later?

Thanks for thread and congratulations.. I have never been an aunty before.. It is very exciting.

In laws are arriving at 11 so need to get a jiggle on, DH gone out to buy veggies for tonights feast.
Pretty much the whole house needs tidying, but is quite clean so if I can break the back of it in the next hour or so we should be winning.

Fell asleep straight after my bath yesterday afternoon so my hair is like a scarecrow, need to try to fix that before they arrive.... don't want to frighten the old folks.

Well the buzzer is going on the cooker telling me my internet time is finished.

BBL hope you all have a good day.

Simply · 31/12/2009 10:09

greyskull I took the dog up to wake dh around 7.15am and then managed to sleep for nearly 2 more hours, so that was good! I'm an aunty 13 times over and it is exciting each time! They range from 23 yrs to 5 yrs old.

I've still not packed ready for travelling later on so I'd better crack on. See you tomorrow!

Greyskull, I'm waiting for next batch of babies as my brother recently got married. Congratulations. Hope you feel a bit better today and can zap the flu.

Simply that is early.

we are off to see lots of second cousins for a family lunch. I was woken by dd trying to force ds2 to put on a suit

dh is an very tetchy mood - and I can't settle to anything without him interrupting
now everyone is screaming aargh.

Wolfcub · 31/12/2009 11:33

afternoon all,

wolf sounds like you have had a good morning, how are you feeling today?

Swan that you are having a difficult day, hope your lunch went well. and that your DH is less tetchy.

simply I am sure you are a brilliant aunty

so had a productive morning. thank the lord for my fly training.
15 minutes in each room and the house was tidy, and I didn't feel knackered.
the outlaws are here and being suitably critical of everything the DS1 is doing whilst believing the sun is shining out of DS2's arse.

Thankfully they know I am not feeling very well so I managed to nip off for 30 winks and have just returned to find DS1 trying to teach grandad how to play marioKart on the wii

Hopeeveryone is having a good last day of 2009....

any exciting resolutions ?????

swanriver · 31/12/2009 17:30

We managed to get out house suitably attired and had quite a jolly lunch in my aunt's house, busride, exercise, catching up with lost cousins (not my aunt's children but some more distant ones), so that was all worth the slight fracas attending our departure
Home, Patisserie, followed by Monopoly, followed all too swiftly by film [quarrel over rental income] We have put the money and property cards into named envelopes so that we can start again from where we left off tomorrow

There was a sweet little 2 year old at lunch, it was strange to think I used to find two year olds so tiring...they really didn't look that difficult

HOUSEWORK DONE
tidied ds1's room with him
hung some clothes BACK in my cupboard
laundry x 2
made a pot of tea
s & s a bathroom

OverflowingFestiveMum · 31/12/2009 20:25

evening all

Having quiet night in here...the days of new years eve parties are well and truly over for us LOL!

Have had a lovely day though. Made a rag doll from kit with dd1.
Made plaster Ariel model from dd2's Christmas shaker maker kit.
Played a lot pushing random objects down DS2's racing ramps garage with him LOL

Slightly scarey moment when getting DS2 up from hisnap, to be greeted by "poo gone" and see him waving his nappy around having removed his sleeping bag, trousers and nappy!!LOL

Then all forced to have a nice long bracing walk round local dike.cold but good. Moods much improved for fresh air!

and have finished my first craft project for 2010, a little knitted bag for DD4 B'day in 2 weeks!

and we lovely MIL sent us some money for Christmas....and I ordered myself a new present...who can guess what it is!

Off to catch up on thread...back in a bit

wendyhappysmile · 31/12/2009 21:54

Evening all
Happy new Year for later.

I actually got dressed today - first time since Boxing Day! Went back to bed for four hours earlier though.

Will be on to discuss Resolutions tomorrow.
Think mine will be much the same as yours, OFM. What's in the parcel?!

Night all

wendyhappysmile · 31/12/2009 22:58

OFM I have just guessed what your parcel is, whilst brushing my teeth!
Is it a sewing machine?!

swanriver · 01/01/2010 00:03

We've had a lovely evening, dh has just tottered off to bed
Just us, children are sleeping all in one room which theyfind very exciting.

We have been discussing resolutions which all rather boringly centred round parenting.

My main resolution is to be more confident when I set out to do things with kids - ie: homework or chores, or even playing with them. I think at my worst last year I would walk in the door after school pickup and just think - I want to hide from all of them.
So I am going to try and tackle that.

Second resolution is to really enjoy all talents I have and put them to good use - I think that alone will give me strength and resolution.

Dh hates makes formal wishy washy resolutions, but has resolved to make sure the dcs all pull their weight doing more housework and tidying. I think a week of tidying has pretty well convinced him of how pampered they all are.

swanriver · 01/01/2010 00:11

We need a babystepping sewing attachment - OFM I do dread those bobbins
Mine is in loft - about 25 years old.

Wendy - glad you are feeling a bit if only a bit, better

Greyskull and Scatty hope NYear celebrations are progressing well with relatives

Happy New Year everyone, I can see fireworks out the window!!!!!!~~~$$$*

Wolfcub · 01/01/2010 00:59

happy new year. x
