Which compact/tabletop dishwasher?

Any recommendations?

I cannot cope with the washing up anymore, and need one to sit on the draining board as I don't have space in the kitchen.

Would like as cheap as possible, but I don't want to buy a pile of crap as it would be a false economy IYSWIM.

Also, how do you plumb them in?

Any help appreciated

From the which report best buys...but I have no experience of dishwashers at all

Bosch SKT5102 Classixx 79% £199

If you want a compact, tabletop dishwasher, this is our recommendation. This diminutive Bosch takes just 4 place settings but cleans and dries well.

Bosch dishwashers are reliable. It's easy to use but rather noisy. Water/energy efficiency is very good. Wash time on the normal program is two hours and 36 minutes. The machine can't be operated with a timer.

Pros: Great cleaning and drying, easy to use, very energy efficient, Bosch dishwashers are reliable

Cons: Noisy, no timer option

I had a Bosch one for around 15 years - was fantastic. I Freecycled it in March as we were moving home to a house with a built-in dishwasher. There are some Bosch ones at John Lewis in some great colours though a little more expensive than the one above. See here. Having said that, there was only me initially and later DH so the compact one was big enough for 2 (but often had to hand-wash bigger items like saucepans). Would you have room for a slim-line one instead?
