Good to see you are all well yesterday, just read the thread.
Our piano delivery didn't happen yesterday , meant to be Chrismas Eve now [hopeful emoticon]. I spent hours on Sunday night clearing the drawers we had under the stairs and moving them into the spare room to make way for the piano! There is a large gap now which will get rapidly filled with junk if the piano doesn't arrive!

To do today
Drop off DC and pick up Mum - shop at Sainsbury's (her idea!
come home and chill out hopefully
make mince pies/last minute Xmas cake
shake off hangover

I had a good girls' night out but drank too much and think was a little too honest with a friend of mine. This is a bad trait of mine. Will need to make choc chip cookies for her which is my usual apology. Sure what I said was true, but that's not really the point!

Morning all
Haven't posted here fpr ages, but been so busy!!!!
I'm still FLYing, well fluttering really. My morning and evening routines are still going good, it's the other stuff that's hit and miss!
Yesterday I decided that I need to change my weekly routines as the home blessing hour is proving too stressfull with 2 very young ds's and now 2 very young kittens
So today
TO DO
Sweep and mop hallway and bathroom done
Put away last nights ironing done
swish and swipe
Tesco
Mission
Zone-Probably look under bed today
Empty and clean nappy wrapper
Clean litter tray
menu plan up until sunday
write out my new routines to take effect from monday
Decorate clay prints we made for grandparents
Wrap last of the pressies
Pack to go to my mums xmas eve (1 night)
HOTSPOTS!!!!!!!!!!!

Makingchanges · 22/12/2009 09:18

Morning, morning, morning

I'm waiting for my Tesco delivery, but have realised that I missed a few things off the shop which is annoying. I'll be even more annoyed if I have to go and stand in a long queue in a supermarket for three things arrrggghhhh

Other plans for today

More washing (why is this always on the list)
Find disc with photos on to make GPs xmas present
Wrap xmas presents (tonight when DD gone to bed - don't want to spoilt xmas at 4)
Whats for tea - No idea at moment
Tidy round in dining room which has become out dumping room of late as we don't use it
Sort childcare for tomorrow so I can get my last bits done - GPs usully have her so I'm thinking of asking them to have her for 1/2 a day and then we can all get things done

That will do for now - Just need to check if binmen are coming on xmas eve

Hello All.

Havent been around for a while. Lots in RL plus very poorly me and kiddies.

Merry Christmas to all of you :

swanriver · 22/12/2009 09:49

Just tried to buy something online for the first time ever - as usual did not work
ah well - don't need it really...
back to the High Street

Yesterday late afternoon/eve was perfectly foul, dcs and dh all all synchronized their watches and started screaming.
Dd had such a tantrum when I put her to bed that in the end I just burst into tears The dss then miraculously became little angels. Dd still went on hissing.
Anyway - had a nice chat with wine and stollen with dh later. We resolved to make the PECKING ORDER CLEARER. The children are running rings round us. They need to be set to work. Definitely. And we get to watch OUR films.

DONE
Recycling (did it on Sunday Yay)v. quickly put out
Rubbish for bin men - tipped bin men
laundry x 2 and put away dry
dw on
sink shiny
dcs watching telly after late rising, now to extricate

TO DO
loads of things, will have to think clearly:
few more cards
still need to tackle bedroom
Bible club party at 4.00 (the ladies who run iit are retiring at 80!)
possible friend with two dcs dropping in
mop floors (still not done)
xmas baking of some kind (choc wholewheat layer? tealoaf? jam tarts - not convinced...)

Hello LBB - congratulations on kittens, so sweet, but naughty eh! Trip factor also increases..
MC - corner shop? Good luck.

swanriver · 22/12/2009 09:54

X-post EV
hope the business is going well, and that you get better soon.

Makingchanges · 22/12/2009 09:58

I wish re the corner shop - I live opposite the reasonably big shopping centre so my corner shop is a large Sainsburys. Its actually further away to go to the nearest corner shop

EHM · 22/12/2009 10:53

Haven't been on thread for far too long Lots going on in RL with new house & just RL stuff in general

Hope you are all well & your lo's too?

Merry Christmas to you all!

EHM

littleboyblue · 22/12/2009 11:09

Hope all in your house are in a better mood today.

Too much hassle LLB I have a substantial layre of whale oil so I won't freeze Great to see you again.

EV Is that really you? How are you? Lomg time no see

EHM. I always think of you when I'm here so I always think you're about. How's Ellie and how has the move gone?

And HELLO to everyone else.

Simply · 22/12/2009 11:27

Hello to everyone esp those we haven't seen for aaaaaaaaaaages!

I've had a slow start this morning so I'm going to try to make up for it now. Back later!

EHM · 22/12/2009 11:29

grouchy so kind as always bless ya! We haven't moved didn't get keys until the 11th so lots of phoning & searching for builders, plumbers, decorators. Been busy sourcing new wood flooring & tiles. I hate to think how long I've actually spent on the net but it will be well worth it. I've managed to get £'s off a few items of furniture & wood with polite & gentle bargining

We have a budget which we have to stick to, if the pot runs dry then we will have to do without until we replenish the pot! So happy the house is now ours, we are so looking forward to moving in & many happy years to come.

Tis very cold here too & grouchy pc in kitchen so whilst ellie has been causing mayhem with glitter on kitchen table. I've managed to part prepare cottage pie & have a chicken curry on hob! Not going past the door today!

Are you all set for Xmas in Grouchy Towers, how is Ed..is he very excited about Xmas?

Makingchanges · 22/12/2009 12:30

Christmas order came and only substitution was carrots for carrots so I'm happy. DH got his alcohol for work as well without venturing to the shops so he is happy (not sure he realises he paid for the whole shopping cos of that hehe)

Did however order turnips instead of parsnips so may have to add those to possible list.

I've just been out and cleared my car of snow. It hasn't moved for a week and was white and icy but i'm probably going to have to use it tonight and tomorrow although I'm terrified of driving on the ice that is on our drive and street.....and now its started to snow again. I know its a bit barhumbug but I really want a thaw cos I need to get on and get things done

swanriver · 22/12/2009 13:12

Glad order was intact MC
Also don't dare move car
EHM - house v glad for you
have a v. cross daughter here who now is determined to learn to knit - found old kit in loft with lurid coloured wool, but she really wants to knit grandma's tasteful murky scarf for me.

DONE
Washing
skipping with dd
exercises with ds1
put some toys in loft with dd
knitting
ham sandwiches for lunch & salad
kept my temper a bit better than yest.

simply Hi!

day progressing here...DC all really need fresh air and exercise ... but refusing to brave the cold

Feeling totally exhausted....

Need to motivate myself to crack on....

BBL

swanriver · 22/12/2009 14:13

Feel totally exhausted too OFM
but I think it is mental not physical, just need to reboot myself - feel a bit like bursting into tears constantly
Can't face OUTDOORS either.

I'm having to make a real effort not to snap at kids, but it is paying off - they have been much politer today

The good news, I think she has cracked the knitting with a little TLC.

EVye · 22/12/2009 14:39

Hi, Yes Grouchy 'tis I

So, who are you festive mum?

Busy day here. Kids still not tip top but had a friend over and the kids have all played nicely. Yay. Now just need to tidy up a bit.

swanriver · 22/12/2009 16:37

Well, managed to get everyone out of the house for a long walk to a party Dts skipped off, but Ds1 refused to go in, so had to bring him back again, lovely peace and quiet now
Need a cup of tea now [slumberous feeling]

TeaMonster · 22/12/2009 17:46

Afternoon all

I am a bit peeved, should have known better to go to the hairdressers, with the boys and mother, even if she told me she would look after them whilst I got my hair cut. I didnt even manage to get it washed, just a dry bloody cut.

A 2 hour sue in morrisons with mother for her shopping

Arggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggg

EV Hello how are the girls?

EHM How are you, Hope to see you soon

Right I need to feed us all

Wendy, Ruby did your packages arrive?

littleboyblue · 22/12/2009 18:05

Evening.
Done all on my list apart from packing for my mum's. We were going to drive the stuff over today so I just needed to take the boys on the train on thursday, but my useless dp got up far too late (about 3pm).

wendyhappysmile · 22/12/2009 18:36

thanks tea package arrived today. Very kind and very lovely stuff.
EV LLB and EHM how lovely to see you all.
swan I have been trying to be calmer too today
OFM hope you're ok?
changes I hate supermarkets. I tend to just do Lidl but Mum wanted me to go with her to Sainsbury's today. I spent over £100 when i didn't need to just because there are so many yummy things to buy in there!
grouchy Brr!
Sorry if I missed anyone.
Managed to do some things from my list today. ironing later, early night and make some goodies.
See you tomorrow
