Interview was a little mixed - was a group interview which generally went ok. Had to do lesson ideas from a picture - Not so good on this, could only think up a couple of ideas for a set of weighing scales.

Also had three tests. Got 100% on maths - DH was pleased cos he had been testing me, passed the english too but failed the science by one mark - but apparently most people did as the questions were more than a little unclear so I have pointed that out. She wrote on my test paper that I have two A's at GCSE for Science so hopefully this won't go too far against me. However the guy who was leading the course said that they had had more applicants that ever before and so we should be pleased to even get an interview so I'm not holding my breathe for a place. We should find out mid to end of Jan.

Attempted quick shop in Morrisons...but too so will go later...

Onthegood side.....the receipt I needed to get Morrisons voucher has arrived (swapped one on Money Saving Forum yay!)
So can get voucher and get various alcohol bits for hamper pressies
Also DS1,DD4and ds2 PJ's all arrived...and cellophane for wrapping hampers yay!

On the badside....doggy's eye still looking bad despite regular bathing.....really could do without vet expense...but think I will have to...poor love...

now having quick break...then MUST menu plan and do shopping list,then assembly at 2.30....

Think I'll get a bottle of wine for tonight...

Hey friends!
Sorry was absent yesterday. DD was sick after the morning at soft play, luckily she made it home and got it all in the bucket! LOL. Ministered to her all afternoon, had to rearrange the day, cancel optician's appointment etc. My parents came to babysit and DH and I went on his work night out. Full of incidents - very snowy in Leeds and bus driver refused to drive down to venue (too narrow apparently ) and I had to walk half a mile in 4 inch heels! . I managed!
Anyway, my night was made as I got lots of attention of the male variety . Only 3 females work at DH's work (other than cleaners ) and not many partners there so I was one of about 10 women. DH is used to men flirting with me and finds it amusing (given that I don't act on it LOL). Anyway I found it funny that one of them chatting me up was born in 1987!!! LOL I am 35 btw!
Drank far too many cocktails but am ok today except for headache.
DD was terrible this morning, lethargic, very hot, sore throat. Then suddenly perked up, as if it's a 24 hour virus - it was literally 24 hours! Strange. So hoping she is well enough to be out and about tomorrow as we have a busy weekend.

swan LOL at you doing the cutting for collage craft! Piano sounds cool, we are perhaps getting ours on Monday, hope so, if not after Xmas. Waiting on DH's cousin moving house, she is sending it to us.
StAnne I still need to do my food shop list too. no idea when I'm going to do the actual shop!
grouchy my dc don't like hot choc (how can you not!) which I am always disappointed about in the winter.

OFM Poor doggy did you have salt in the water to bath his eye? I think that's what my mum told me to do.
MC yep it's a bummer but he's safe that the important bit. Where were/are you going to drive to?

15 mins bleugh around the house. done & cleaned a window that will have decor around it done
Ds watching 20mins of telly then we are going to decorate downstairs. While he is doing that I'll write out card & post God son's voucher.

Good news about your piano

have made mumsnet white choc and cranberry fudge - quarter quantity (who just happens to have THREE 375g packets of white choc on tap in their house? only a very greedy person
and salt dough decorations - although dd kept angrily exclaiming "this stuff's not strong enough, I want CLAY"
previously - sent off another 20 xmas cards to neighbours and locals in playground
last two presents to teachers/TAs

Now back to the knitting - unless the cat's got it

Well Walked to shops and got stuff for tea - Toad in the hole with Pots, carrots and broccoli - Yum
Got last present for friends so can wrap tonight
Wrote family xmas cards and bought another pack for neighbours and friends - Write these tonight and deliver over weekend I think
Bought diary for next year and am currently putting in school hols etc
2nd lot of washing in machine - School uniform cos if I don't do it now I know i'll forget it and it'll still be dirty when I need it in Jan
Have had to try to wash the dry clean only pillow cases from Settee as DH somehow managed to sit in Chocolate and it melted all over him, pillows and settee - am slightly worried as water very blue

Right off to make tea then gonna finish off my bottle of wine that I opened last night whilst writing christmas cards.

well it was complete chaos here about an hour ago, but have managed to break it down into hotspots and tidied everything

dh still plodding through slush somewhere poor thing..well I hope he hasn't gone to the pub and will return laden with useful things

mum luckily decided not to come till Sun for her visit, as her plane delayed, think twould not have been v. restful here, and we still haven't put the tree up[knitted her scarf]

Right - hotspots sound like a grand idea - desperately needed here. Did a room rescue in my kitchen earlier and it is sparkly now except for the floor. Need to do the same for living room. Can't remember the last home bleugh i did - prob a half hearted one just before I put the tree up. New Year!

Hello again all. Just a quickie from me as I'm really tired and I think I fancy a nice bath and an early night.

The lunch do went pretty well. I had to listen carefully to hear what the quietly spoken person to my left was saying. Then I had to speak up over the music to be heard. [I think I'm getting too old for this emoticon!] The outfit was fine. I like shoes to hold onto my feet a bit tighter really but they're a pretty useful pair being black patent. In the end I used the new £6 scarf and I chose a blouse from Next I already had so I've got a coat (too short on my frame), a scarf and two tops to go back to DP's.

overflowing I haven't had that problem with the dog. When the cat has had a sticky eye I think I've bathed it in cooled boiled water. I hope your dog is better now.

I have collapsed after our very busy week! Lasts nights night out was fantastic! Delayed hangover kicked in about 2pm! Have been to lovely friends after school party. Have put up Christmas Tree (its the Christmas that taste forgot again lol).

Hopefully the pace will slow up a little now .
