Tumble dryer (condensor) not working - any helpful hints for things I could try gratefully received.

Tank is empty.

Filter is clean.

Condenser drum cleared of fluff.

Pause/go light is flashing and won't do anything when I press it (should stop flashing and stay on, and the drying shold then start).

Tis a John Lewis one.

Can't think what else to try. Can't get anyone to come and look at it for days and have a huge backlog of washing.

my tumble dryer has a reset button at the back, but i have to take off the metal panel to push it

have you tried looking for the reset button?

Hello tractor fan!

Um, am trying to think why ours has played up in the past.

Have you been using it back to back? They can overheat.

MrsJohnDeere · 17/12/2009 13:33

No mention of reset button in the manual but I'll investigate the back panel now.

sympathy from me as mine is broken too. Am waiting foe DH to peer at it before I decide to call an engineer. But probably after xmas.

lou33 · 17/12/2009 13:40

mine stops heating when it gets overloaded as a safety measure, it could be something similar?

i think i had to google about my drier to find out about the reset button

MrsJohnDeere · 17/12/2009 14:13

Can't find a reset button. Googling hasn't got me anywhere yet, but I shall continue.

MrsJohnDeere · 17/12/2009 15:23

John Lewis JLTDC06

I think they're made by AEG though.
