DD has helpfully announced tonight (like 5 mins ago ) that tomorrow is fancy dress day at school and she needs her dress for it.

It is minging.

It says on the label handwash only but do you think it will be ok to bung it in the machine for a bit? I can't get out to Sainsbury's or Tesco to get her anything else as DS is in bed and DH is at college, so I'm desperately trying not to lose my patience with her. This is the second announcement of this kind in 2 days .

Will it fit in a pillowcase? I sometimes put delicates in a pillowcase in the machine & tie the end up.

I bung dd's dressing up stuff in the machine at 40. Haven't had any problems.

did dd2's reversible dress in the machine last week. it was fine. hung it up to dry though, didn't put in the drier

ah thanks. i flung it in there and have been watching it closely now for the last 5 mins or so. seems ok atm. just hope it comes out ok. was going to hang it on the curtain rail above the radiator so its not directly on it, but warm enough to dry.
