I've heard hairspray works on biro, but I'm assured by my 3 year old, he has used 'the special daddy pen that doesn't come off' Has anyone successfully removed sharpie pen from ANYTHING? Anyone ideas, preferably tried and tested?
Thanks in advance.

I've found this on a website for you, might help

Warning - I have never tried this on leather but have tried on other surfaces.

Strangely, if you cover the Sharpie ink with a dry wipe pen (ie one for a white board) then when you rub off the dry wipe pen the permanent pen comes away too.

Discovered when my colleague accidentally used a permanent marker on a white board. I have also got permanent pen off the kitchen table in the same way.

Babywipes have done the trick in the past - but not the sensitive skin ones.

Guardsman ink remover works. You would need to find somewhere that sells jsut htat though, or fork out for the whole care kit.

It's bloody difficult.

I'd suggest you buy a sharpie correction pen for future use.

Thanks alex- it's no go with the babywipes I'm afraid.
Thanks Jilly- i've tried the qtip and nail varnish remover but it' taking the colour from the leather too
Giddy, i'm not sure i'm brave enough to add more pen to what's already there, but thank you.
Does anyone know where i can buy 'rubbing alcohol' from, I'm planning to try that next?

Thanks chops and Smooth. Smooth, I like the sound of a sharpie corrector pen- any ideas where I can buy one?

I bought mine from a website in the US - it has to be used fairly quickly to work though.

I did this after my DC drew all over my laptop, walls and shelves in my study!
