Hi scatty and thanks for the thread.

To do:-
~ go to app't in town this morning
~ iron some of the huge amount that has built up
~ go to library and get printouts of wills
~ write cards

Not to do:-
~ go on wills website until I've finished the cards!

Off to get showered and dressed. Back later.

scattyspice · 08/12/2009 08:09

Morning all .

I must say the Advent calander is a marvelous tool for getting DC dressed quickly .

OFM - hope you start to feel better soon.
MC - hope your LO feels better soon too.
Wendy - hope the sparkly funeral goes well and the day is not too draining .
Tea - Love your blog (except I get terrible house envy at your lovely home ). I can't believe you've got all the decorations up already . I am no where near that stage yet (panic panic).
knickers hope you're coping with those little ones (I agree, so much harder in bad weather).

Today:
Recycling
feed dc
DC to gymnastics (ask about tickets).
Buy food
laundry
write more cards

BBL have a good day.

Morning all

Scatty Thanks for the lovely comments. I love this house, didnt think I would. It was bought as a stop gap when we relocated back to the north east until we find the cash and the motivation to build. It is the smallest house on the estate and right on the edge of the village. It has become a real haven since being ill.

Anyway list for today

Toddlers
Clean the kitchen
whats for lunch and dinner
sewing
ironing
write christmas to to list

Swan The marble run is excellent, you can only put the parts on one way up, so building came really easy to them. Such good value for £25 as they will play with it forever. They were very sad to see it returned to Father Christmas!!

swanriver · 08/12/2009 09:08

DScatty - thanks for thread

s1 is singing upstairs
Dh has taken dts to school (ds2 wailing I'm afraid)

To Do
breakfast and bed routine

then
piano
find envelope for dolly's clothes to send to cousin
what's for dinner pasta
what's for supper pizza (bought)
add more things to bag of toys they've grown out of
order some more, nicer, cards from Unicef cat
entertain and instruct ds1 and his mildly ill friend who coming again today

and itis not raining so perhaps I might just ssweep the back terrace? need to redressed though in grungiest garb so possibly cannot face it

Did mission yest! aha I'm ahead

ImdreamingofaGROUCHYxmas · 08/12/2009 09:32

Cheers for the thread Scatty

OK, FLYing may be disrupted today as Ed is officially proper poorly and off school today. Plus DH is at football tonight.

DONE

Up and meds
Sooth a rather distressed Ed (who is going hot/sweaty/cold/clammy and not eating )
Breakfast
Empty DW
Put away
Make a batch of Suzywong's brownies
Make rocky road crunch
Tidy away
S&S worktops
More Ed caring

Tea I try to avoid an overly commercial Xmas but as Ed gets older it does get harder.

Being hassled, must go bbl

leothelioness · 08/12/2009 09:37

Hi everyone,
Thansk for the nice thoughts and healing vibes for my mum. Hopefully she can see the consultant today and get this sorted. My sis and her DH are life savers BIL is taking mum to a hospital 3 hours away from where they are so she can see the consultant there instead of wating for the one at the hospital she is currently in to come back from holiday next week.

scatty thanks for the thread
simply maybe you need something like a time lock on the wills website so it does not allow you to enter until all the christmas cards are done
OFM good luck with the long to do list
Tea your home is really lovely it makes me miss having our own home to decorate as we like rather than rented ones we have been in for the last 6 years.
swan oh dear wailing ds not a great way to start the day

DCs are both have colds for the umpteenth time since september, but no fevers and perky too so have sent them to school.

My list today
shower
make beds
dishwasher
load of washing
ironing
fold clohers and sheets and put away
lunch
dinner

swanriver · 08/12/2009 10:15

Done - ordered cards from Unicef and V&A
slight moratorium on cards now as they won't come for a few days
still need to do kids' ones though

boys are playing Draughts upstairs - holding my breath

breakfast cleared
think I will venture out to slimey terrace now
OFM - how did saltdough decs go the other day? Is it something I dare try at home?
Wendy - re: cherry jam, I used it as a cheesecake topping, not in a cake as such. Might be nice rolled up in pancakes too? Or in a jam tart?

Oh dear sneezles and snuffles descending here too. Atishoo.

Makingchanges · 08/12/2009 11:14

tidied up a bit
bit of piano
talked to two friends on phone

glad Ed is feeling a bit more himself Grouchy

3 green parrots quarrelling in tree next door, we live in tropical climes here

Simply · 08/12/2009 14:52

swan If you live in tropical climes, can you invite me to come and sip pina coladas?

leo and overflowing I've not been on the website at home since last night. I've been to the library itself to use their computer which is much faster!

I WAS having a nice day, until I decided to get the kids to write their Xmas cards.
They can't spell any of their friends' names or indeed the word Christmas.

leothelioness · 08/12/2009 17:34
