Got velcro shoe straps and velcro coat fasteners, both covered in fluff. Got any top tips for getting rid of it? At the moment I am using another velcro bit but it's not that effective...

drag the hooked part of the other velcro over it to loosen then pickout with your nails, usually works for me

if not, sellotape? a pin?

I've always just used my finger nails

A pin and patience. DD has a uniform school coat with bloody velcro on the hood, she's always getting her hair caught up in it ...obviously designed by a bloke (or a woman with a crew cut).

Wire suede shoe brush. Drag it across the velcro gently.

wire suede brush!! Of course, any idea where to buy them?

I am pretty sure a Timpsons shoe menders would have one or any shoe shop.

A sturdy sewing needle did the trick for ds's shoes. :-)

a fork works pretty well, or a metal kebab skewer.
