New World gas range cooker - anyone own one?

Hi there wise women of mn. We are about to get a range style cooker and are thinking about this one

Basically we want an affordable, gas only cooker with 90cm width and this seems the only one under about £1400!

Does anyone own one of these? any good / bad things we should consider? is it a terribly bad sign that it's so much cheaper than the other options?

Thanks a million!

Hi

We have a rangemaster so slightly different and it's also wider.

A couple of things to point out in case you haven't already though of them.

  1. What would you put in the small oven and can you fit it in there? Does it add anything or is the 2 extra hobs worth having it?
  1. As you want gas are you ok with the ovens only working if you have it plugged into the electric?
  1. Is the hob stand alone gas rather than rely on electric to start it
  1. Are you ok without a grill?
  1. Do you still have 5-10cm of space either side of the 90cm cooker as found out this is what you should have either side.
  1. How well made is the sides of the cooker and does it let too much heat out?

Other than that I can highly recommend a range style cooker and in gas.

oh also from a couple of friends having the grill in the oven is a pain as it stops you using it for anything else at the same time.

Hello,

There are loads of range ovens cheaper than £1400. Have you seen this website?

www.appliancesonline.co.uk/product_listings.aspx?action=clean&mNode=13&WidthMin=0&WidthMax=900

It depends what you're looking for though - any specific colour/features?
