Okay in the Starbear household. I'm still obsessed about work that I'm getting very heavy bags under my eye not a good party look. I was going to have Tuesday off as well back I'm now going in to sort things out. In the new year I'm going to knock myself out to get an internal job change. I think I'm going a bit nutty!
back from Hospital and my eye are fine. Thank you God!
back in a mo with the list
By the way I'm Starbear I have name changed for Christmas due to a very silly thread I've started on the Christmas thingy.

Beaver mums - How stupid do you feel as a grown up asking if the person you are speaking to is 'Otter' ? {blush]

School fair this afternoon and an hour stood in the freezing cold being a rugby mum

swanriver · 04/12/2009 12:10

well that puts all in perspective doesn't it I knew it wasn't about Star Wars Lego really I did...

OP posts:
swanriver · 04/12/2009 12:21

x-post Grouchy, reading about StAnne's difficult situation. She is coping very well in circumstances.

Otter or not - There IS a mumsnet poster called Notanotter.

Ironing MISSION must do it. Given up on whingey one, and put the Simpsons on for him, then we will go out and buy Dd's angel wings, whch she insisted had to come from a shop, preferably Asda. (???where we have never been before and I'm not going now as it's down a motorway) High St will provide for our every need I suspect.

What's for dnner; more hearty leftovers
What's for supper: pie [to make with ds1] he has instructed me to make it like school dinners.

LOL Star - Love your thread .

Grouchy - which one is Otter? I don't think ours have names .

Swan - Hope you find those wings.

Leo - gossiping is good for the spirit .

Today
Lidl
pack
DC homework
laundry reboot.

Off early to Grandmas 100th party tomorrow . BB Monday. Have a good weekend y'all.

swanriver · 04/12/2009 16:57

Get grandma to give us all some life tips Scatty please - hope she enjoys her birthday and seeing everyone

We've been to the park (deserted except for dogwalkers) runaround, and returned to relative peace and calm. Someone gave a nice box of biscuits in the playground, that definitely helped
Ds1 still causing trouble - but I've played draughts with him for first time, and read some HP to him and pretended we were the characters and he is restored to better humour. He thinks of himself as Ron and me as Professor McGonagall.
Think he's allowed on ds now

BiancaCastafiore · 04/12/2009 18:20

Evening

Great thread Starbear
scatty enjoy the party

Not done a jot of housework today - worked this morning and shopped this aft.
Bought this dress - maxi dress; top row far right (too dressy? Or OK for drinks parties? I am terrible at choosing clothes and never know what I should wear ) - would wear with a shrug of some sort as my arms aren't good...

wendyhappysmile · 04/12/2009 20:02

Evening all
LOL at StAnne thread very witty.
Just baking etc for party tomorrow night NOT AT MY HOUSE Yay!!! DC sleeping out and I am going to drink too much champagne and wine and make a fool of myself. LOL, that's my prediction - let's see if it spookily comes true.
Enjoy 100 year party scatty swan you are coping so well with having DS at home, bound to be a day or two when he is whingey, he must be fed up.
Bianca I really like that dress, but then I usually go too dressed up anyway, I love getting dressed up and love Monsoon too!
See you tomorrow, children have a concert at a church singing and dancing!
Night all

Simply · 04/12/2009 21:54

Hello to all. I'm very late coming to the thread today so I'll keep it brief.

See you tomorrow! [there, that was brief, wasn't it?]

swanriver · 04/12/2009 23:10

House is tidy - almost looking forward to the weekend It is dh's birthday tomorrw, and he is going to make biscuits with the children (German ones - he is German)

Have sat down with dh and discussed what we are doing/might possibly be doing tomorrow. He's already in a bad mood and has gone to bed in a huff; I seem to have a terrible effect on him when I present him with lists of any kind

Oh dear, better abandon my halfhearted attempts to possibly do a internet mini-Xmas shop, and go to bed before steam comes out of his ears.
