so much for me saying it was nice and sunny here it is now very cloudy and depressing.

last night DS1 woke at about 3 and refused to go back to sleep in his own bed saying that he had a nightmare. So he spent the rest of the night between me and DH which meant he slept fine but I am knackered because of his kicking and wriggling and then he woke up freash as a daisy at 6.15am

anyway today

shower and dress
go for a run
continue sorting living room
lunch and dinner
bathrooms

get to Knightsbridge with ds1 (and back in time for pickup)to meet old friend who is not very well and has arranged meetup with old workmates

prepare stew with ingredients in fridge
ring friend to tell her I CAN come to party this Sat

Morning all Thank you Scatty Leo I've got one of those. I often give up and go into his bed.
Scatty love that 'statement' jewellery. It's our Anniversary on Monday I have asked for a pair of jeans that fit! That's a statement that might not be possible. I might go looking for it now and buy with DH during the weekend.

day off work today feeling guilty as I have tons to do there. (can't fly police work wish I could ha!ha 15 mins investigation 15 mins custody 15mins in court Hey! that an idea.)
Went to desired school today with DH we both still feel very odd. I think we are going to move him. We are going to tell him after we have told the head of old school. Will mean a change of work pattern for me as it starts later and not so near the train station.

Hello to all. Thanks for the thread scatty.

I've only done an hour's worth so far today. I'm not sure if I should start on my Christmas cards today. I think I should. Has anyone noticed that I've not done a "to do" list and "done" list since last week? (I think) Oh, dear. I'm out all day tomorrow, too, as we're going to a lunch do an hour or two away. I've just remembered that. I hope my dress fits. Groan. Okay. Forget the cards and concentrate on the outfit instead. Back later.

The cat is back and has found a hidey hole so private I was getting worried that she wasn't well. She's just sleepy. She's had the op and a microchip inserted.

the ammount of mess created by 3 yrold and 18 month old making pastry....
A&E Dr just rang to say that having reviewed dd3's Xray from other night they have seen a fracture after all. So now have app at fracture clinic tomorrow am....

other than that things going ok...

DD4 at home due to lingering cold...and I have promisd to play barbies with her LOL so off I go...

Hello All

Having a really bad week here. DD been ill since Birthday at weekend and is off nursery again today after perking up for a few hours yesterday. She has only eaten a couple of slices of toast for last few days and has a high temp and general mardiness. This means I am off school today again as well which isn't too bad except I can't get anything done cos as soon as I leave the room she gets mardy again.

Have got two loads of washing done today and a few bits of reading but nothing else so far. Was desperately hoping that a day at home would mean getting on top of housework but i think we are making it worse.

Think i'm going to try to get dd to have a sleep (no chance I bet) and then think about what else she may be able to have for tea other than toast.

Hope you are all well - DH out tonight so if I get through a full day and night of mardy 4 year old dd I will be back later

Back from smart do - I did look smart honest
however could not concentrate on gossip fully because had to gt back for pickup
and ds HATED it, because all the food was straaange - sundried parsnips etc
violin went well
crutches going very very well he is practically pole vaulting now

freezing cold now in my smart jacket, need to get back to surburb woolies again, drinking tea, trying not to think about the mess
but very pleased to have arranged meetup in Kew Gardens with oldmates on 30th Dec something achieved from outing

OFM at your ability to make mince pies very festive. Now you got me thinking have a playdate on Monday will bake some ginger bread men and the boys can decorate them. A&E at least they phoned to tell you and not let it slide.

I ended up making a chicken stirfry with noodles for dinner and the banana bread seems to have gone down well with the kids too.

I have a splitting headache as the 2 dcs have been at each other like wild animals and its driving me up the wall.

Starbear - silver and white table sounds good. I always decorate the table and the fireplace. DC get to do the tree.

Simply - did you start your cards? I hate that job.

Swan - good to have some grown up outings now and then.

OFM - shame about DDs finger - more hospital visits.

MC - I hate it when they're poorly too. The days (and nights) just drag.

Have purchased statement necklace (DD very influential in choice ). Will probably give Granny a black eye when I bend down to kiss her but at least she'll know I was there!

leo your banana bread, haven't made that in ages. In fact, it's ages since I've done any baking just for the family - it's been so many 'occasions' I'm all baked out!

Didn't post yesterday, busy day with DD then at another Pampered Chef party - I am truly all pampered chef out now.
Swimming today - swam a width, 10 times iyswim i.e. not consecutively! Quite pleased. last lesson now for a month, really must get to the gym to practise on my own!
Just been shopping. The funeral on Tuesday is 'black with sparkles' - all my stuff was outrageously dressy - not funeral stuff at all. Managed to get a pair of Monsoon black trousers for a five at the outlet and a sparkly wide belt from Next outlet. Don't know what DH is going to wear for the sparkles - any ideas? Looked today for sparkly tie for him but to no avail.

No, I haven't started my cards. I'm really envious of you having done yours wendy. The trouble is that I've been researching my family tree and so I have umpteen people to write to, cousins of cousins etc.

I did make a beef casserole and I think there is plenty there for tomorrow night as well. I also made 1 apple crumble (for dd) and 1 apple and blueberry (for the rest of us). A neighbour who loves crumble popped round earlier and was salivating at the smell of the casserole and then I also said I was making crumble, so I think I'll take him and his son a portion each. The Mum isn't fond of puddings. Unlike me!

On-line shopping to arrive and cancel hairdressers (too much money really for a blow-dry) Wish my cousin lived close by party in the evening might pack bag now need flat shoes tickets, raffle tickets and a bottle of wine get them ready now instead of lst min tomorrow.
