catching clean washing from machine

My washing machine is situated in the same room that the dogs sleep in. If I drop anything when removing it from the machine it needs to be washed again. I may have imagined it by I'm sure I saw a basket with a sort of sleve or funnel that ensured that the washing went in the basket and not on the floor. I appreciate that I could put some sort of plastic sheet down but I'm not terribly organised and it would probably get eaten by the dogs! Can any clever mn help me find the perfect washing companion?

I have a Lakeland laundry basket that is a bit squashy, so you just tip it at an angle towards the machine and then pull the washing into it.

Thanks - it is very dirty Mutt however it is more that the item of clothing gets dog hair on it which do not come off damp clothes very well
