Can you recommend me a decent TV for around £300?

I'm planning a family present. Ideally this will be 32" LCD with freeview.

We're fed up limping on with our crap telly.

Thanks.

I have been looking out for a new telly too, but I don't think your budget will stretch to a 32". Richer Sounds have some good deals if that helps.

That does look like a good buy Herbie.

I don't really understand why some of them are a grand and some are £300. All I know is I want good sound, a decent picture, freeview and a lcd screen or plasma - not sure which but it needs to be slim rather than deep iyswim.

Basic question I know but ..... What does HD 'ready' mean? Why is it different from HD?
