Do mattress toppers make your bed too warm?

Want to buy a mattress topper for our bed as they look so comfy but hate being hot at night. Will a topper make the bed too warm? Already spend half the night pushing DH back onto his side as its like sharing the bed with a giant radiator!

I found it did, yes. Mine was a memory foam one - had to stop using it though because it made my back even worse than normal (as well as being too hot)

I bought one two weeks ago, an uncrushable feather and down one from QVC - its extremely comfy but it does make the bed warmer. I have put a thinner duvet on because of it and I now have the snuggliest bed

Thanks, I don't think I'll risk it then!

i have a wool blamket over mine and under the sheet. this makes it a lot nicer IMO.

If you ask me - No, it just makes it cosy.

Ask DH and you'll get a resounding YES. So I'd say it's a bad idea for you as you sound like you run quite hot naturnally same as DH!

I have a duck down topper and I don't think it makes it too hot, just cosy.
I used to have a memory foam mattress which was hideously hot,I had to get rid of it so definatley don't get one of those!
