lovely armchairs - where from?

really like laura ashley style armchairs, but cannot justify ridiculous pricing, ie £1k for a chair.
Would consider buying second hand/antique but worry about cost of re-upholstering as we are all asthmatics and would need to replace old padding etc.

Live in London. Have tried ebay, not coming up with anything lovely. Ikea too modern for us - the rest of our furniture will be sort of shabby chic.

thanks for any suggestions

Try here

I've just bought a sofa, well made, delivered efficiently and on time and they will collect and return if you don't like it.

Not sure if it gets back in your price range, but Laura Ashley do some great sales - earlier in the year they had a buy one get one free on the armchairs - so then pricing not too bad. They seem to have endless sales, so 30% off is a v minimum to go for.

Also there is a place called Londonwarehouse (I think, will check) which does stock from MnS/John Lewis etc v cheap, but is a bit of a lottery, have to go and search there.
