Wendy The medium sounds really interesting I have always been quite sceptical but it would be really interesting to go to one and see what they have to say. I sounds like your experience was really intense.

anyway have managed to do the stuff on my to do list. now need to clear away (unload and reload the dishwasher) the dinner dishes and sort out dhs dinner when he eventually gets back and take the clothes out of the dryer.

Have made wholesome soup and Yorkshire puds, jelly (DD: is this jelly without cows in it?!) and tidied up. DD has sore throat, DS a huge lump on head from accident at school.
I noticed every confrontational thing I said or screeched today due to my meeting with the medium. She is right, I do fight everyone and everything about absolutely nothing
I feel as though this visit is my opportunity for a wake up call. Maybe she is just a wise woman.

Ruby It's a philosophy which may sound a little harsh but I think it's not a bad thing sometimes to rein in the indulgence and child accommodating which is to the detriment of adults sometimes. It's a fine line. I think we all get it right sometimes and wrong at other times.

P.S. I was going to have a 2nd glass of wine but dd put my glass in the d/w [grrr] and then I remembered that I really shouldn't, anyway. So... I've eaten the bit of custard slice that I didn't eat yest for my pudding and now I'm going to have a cup of tea! Once the dog has finished eating her tea we're going to walk around the village in the rain.

Well I went shopping and got lots of stuff we could technically live without but it got me out of the house which was good. Sad that I defaulted to Tesco tho.

Then home and

Make lunch
Head off to be a reading friend
Home again
Make lunchboxes for morning
Prep Ed's tea
Collect Ed and head off for his swimming lesson
Back home, load washer and run
Start Ed's tea
Pack bags for morning
Get Ed's uniform ready
Empty DW and put away
S&S worktops
Take out garbage

Rather tired now. DH is making the evening meal and I am off duty/have stood down/given up

I should've said, that was me with my "Trying to see if I could make you smile" face on TM. I hope you're okay. I second grouchy. We're here. Or I will be in half an hour when I'm wet and horrible from walking the dog!

Am back. Had gone all of about 6 houses when my legs were soaking wet. Another few mins and the hailstones started. Dog thought someone was being deliberately mean and had her "Why is someone being mean to me?" look on her face. She is now home, has been rubbed dry and looks like she's been putting her paw in the electric socket!

Just back from concert which was fab! DD's enjoyed themselves so much. Performances and singing all lovely. Had a new babysitter who is lovely, and all worked out super well...so feeling warm and fuzzy....and may even forgive dh at this rate! Still full of yucky virus though .....(may be contributing to warm fuzziness actually lol!)so going to have some paracetamol and go to bed....

need to do serious battle with house tomorrow...but am going to take it in 15 min slots I think as a bit overwhelming!

Talked to a very old friend on phone for hours till 11pm yesterday, that didn't help mess either - but it was great to catch up with her. She is loving being a Phoenix Trader for cards, wrapping paper, and has 21 people now working for her franchise and she's still SAHM [in Hexham]
