more girly disney charachters near girl and more boy-ey stick around by him?

malfoy · 23/11/2009 21:53

We used a white and red theme with Babar framed posters.

deepdarkwood · 23/11/2009 21:58

Our two (5 & 3) have castles - princesses and knights.

pointydogg · 23/11/2009 21:58

I'd go for a sfot blue and white colour scheme with the red carpet.

I like this. Stars are good. You can girl them up or boy them down. I like stars.

pointydogg · 23/11/2009 21:59

red and white good too. Sort of swedish. Or arsenalish

MrsWeasley · 23/11/2009 22:02

my DC's shared a room and they had animal themed walls.
How about
Seaside Theme, (boats, sandcastles, fish,)
Farms (tractors, animals)
Stars
Stripes
Elmer

IMoveTheStarsForNoOne · 23/11/2009 22:32

Another vote for Elmer.

I want this but we don't have the wall space

I've just had an email from Higgos giving me a £5 voucher - EMN001. Not sure if its only for particulat customers, but worth a shot

My dc (same ages as yours at the time) shared a room with swirly blue carpet and dark red velvet curtains. These were in place when I bought the flat and I couldn't afford to replace them. It was a large north-facing room, big window but no direct sunlight.

We painted 3 walls a sunny yellow, and the 4th wall zingy orange. The woodwork was white, but the door of the built-in wardrobe was lilac. We put Winnnie the Pooh (classic, not Disney) wall stickers along one of the yellow walls at about adult head height, and continued them across the Ikea wardrobe. All the furniture was wood, either pale and birch-like or darker and antique-pine-like. There was an orange rug on the blue carpet.

It was a nicely colourful but not overwhelming room, and the colours brougt some warmth into it to ballance out the lack of sunshine.
