A good way to clear up polystyrene?

Fortunately I am not that phobic about the noise and feel of it as DS2 has spread itty bitty chunks of it all over the playroom and has managed to wrestle with his brother whilst brandishing polystyrene lumps. It was in his hair, on his clothes and stuck to socks so now of course it is all over the blardy house.

We had Central Heating failure this morning so been busy with that and also felt the need to explain pathetically to Gas engineer the absolute state the place is in.

Heeeeeeeeeeeeelp meeee

can it go up the vacuum cleaner?

touching polystyrene is like hearing fingernails screeching across a blackboard

Put an tight/ stocking loosly over the the end of the vaccum pipe. Hold it on iwth an elastic band/ hair scrunchy

Hoover up and they will go into the stocking and stay there

Then VERY careully with opening held shut removed stocking, knot and bin.
Under NO circumstances yank it off and send beads flying everywhere again. That would just be dumb.
