Are argos black out blinds any good

Yes same here. We have the cheap ones and they are fine :-)

I think it's more the hanging of them and not the quality that matters. We fitted Ikea ones on the inside of our window, but the width of the brackets meant that we got a lot of light creeping round the edges.
