My sympathies; when we were potty training it felt like there were months of mopping wee off sofas, floors, beds... Our flat stank. Oh, good times!

My solution was to have really, really cheap Ikea sofas (with washable covers) and breathe deeply, promising myself that one day this will all be over and we can get new, cheap Ikea sofas.

Hope sombody comes along soon with a tip for leather!

dd did this a few times and it would be a dash to mop it up before it ran down the back and sides of the sofa...........when it does this it all goes down inside then drips out the bottom onto the carpet/flooring iyswim......
NIGHTMARE!!! never managed to get rid of the p!ssy smell

good luck!

sorry forgot to say mine were leather, because of this it doesnt soak in much just like i say runs off down the back and sides...........my dp had to cut the fabric underneath the sofa so i could kind of clean the inside but we werent too bothered tbh at the time as they were on their way out anyway

currycrazy · 13/11/2009 10:22

maybe pour some disinfectant or something where she weed and hope it runs in the same direction?

Mammina · 13/11/2009 10:26

aaaaaargh I want to scream! the worst thing is she IS potty trained! I think she just couldn't be arsed going upstairs! Raining outside and have visitors this weekend so put the telly on to keep her quiet so I could clean - that backfired didn't it! I think she was so engrossed in telly she didn't want to miss any by going upstairs to wee on potty

My daughter spilt a huge class of goats milk on my Mum's new leather sofa, goats milk stinks to high heavens when it goes off.

We mopped it up quickly, sprayed with Dettox especially where the seams were and gave it a really good wipe and rinse. Had to pull the blasted sofa out and clean the carpet aswell .

Anyway this was about 6mths ago, there is no smell and my Mum is still none the wiser
