i promiced I would do something for mum and have forgoten what is was pants

Wolfcub · 13/11/2009 09:17

morning all tea take it easy will you woman.
scatty & simply good morning

I feel slightly better but have just phoned boss and discovered he has given very important high profile piece of work to my worst member of staff - very worried now

Starbear · 13/11/2009 09:23

Morning, Just popped in to say hello. I've worked solidly, outside the house for the past two weeks and I'm not happy. Had to send Ds off to school in shorts under school trousers as I didn't have any clean pants for him..
I hear that some are worse off TM hope you are on the mend. Few other have that nasty flu, get better soon
Off to work at 11am and anticipating a confusing, can't put things in the right place kind of day, due to the system. If that sounds total madness I will reveal that I'm a police officer and that really is par for the course. Going to be home late again for no practical reason but the system. Roll on the revolution then I can do something constructive.
House a total tip but Ds (apart from the pants) has been looked after well by my lovely Mum.
I'm going to try and stick to my guns in December and take my part-time days off when I should cross fingers for me.
People please enjoy your homes today and give yourselves a treat as you keep the rest of your family sane by blessing your homes.
(pls don't vomit)
Have a great day.

Knickers0nMaHead · 13/11/2009 09:34

4 words...sudocrem, sofa, carpet, help!

hope all are feeling better today and those at work have a good day.

wendy, coffee sounds like a great idea!

Wolfcub · 13/11/2009 09:52

knickers, see the last post on this thread

star what a good post, you have my sympathy with the job stuff

swanriver · 13/11/2009 10:43

Thanks for thread Scatty - we refused to take dd to the last party

Agree with WEIRD model TM - not sure if that dress will sinsiterly transform you nto Nigella zombie Ruby

But the twiglet dress I like - just need to increase my twiglet quotient by 6lbs and I would buy it.

Starbear - it is great to know we have peoplelike you in police (even if you don't lke it at moment)
Wolf, if teammember does it badly won't it tell your boss something? or will you have to take blame?

Feeling much better ths morning, though still a bit stiff and not up to sack or child lugging or driving.
2 Dcs to school
Ds1 leg exercses done
Dd and ds1 violin (he played beautifully - it brought tears to my eyes that after 3 weeks absence he can pickup violin and just play Edelweiss from sight)
Now he has demanded DsNinendto for 30 mins
Then we are going to try and do something educational - possibly design an Anthony Horowitz bookcover or Merlin Ds game. He hates craft so that might be bolshy hell but we will see. I think if we go on computer to investigate he might be a bit more interested.

Yesterdy was pretty awful here too, dh and I were shouting up and down the stairs contradictory instructions to poor kids re: bits of paper and school books, no-one went to bed for hours, tea seemed to consist of everyone screaming from what I heard through floorboards...Anyway will draw a veil.
But, Dh left kitchen beautfifully tidy, and cooked a lovely supper and did his absolute best so I thnk kids were just stressed by everythng.

Goals for today
put away clean clothes
make some soup
make some carrot cake with ds1
do something inspirational with ds1 (not cake)
get in touch with physiotherapist if she doesn't rng
try and feel calmly empowered so that kids feel safe, and not get into fights over unimportant issues like whether ds1 plays on Ninetendo for half an hour here and there

EHM · 13/11/2009 12:03

Just a quick Hello-not around much-but thinking of all you lovely ladies.

Is it just me are does this look like a boob & nipple?

Right off to feed Ellie, then tumble tots. Hope you are all well & your little ones?

scattyspice · 13/11/2009 12:53

LOL EHM .

Star - Hats off to you with such a demanding job. Some jobs are more a vocation aren't they? Don't give your housework a second thought. My working mum tip - buy far more school uniforms and underwear than you actually need!

Knickers - DS redecorated the house with Sudacream too!

Swan - Have the school sent work home for DS? If not give him a couple of days off while you rest up.

Hi everyone else.

OP posts:
swanriver · 13/11/2009 14:05

Don't really want any schoolwork,[teacher said she had a pile of it for him] was hoping to do a few more openended projects with him, less writing more doing those creative things we don't usually get time to do
However will definitely stick to class topics and get him to read set book

However we have done blueprint for Horowitz bookcover with plotline and gadgets
looked at science topic of sound briefly - plan to make string mobile phone with him
and I managed to make strange yoghurt cupcakes
clean loos, put clothes away
washing on
make lunch
He is now listening to Joseph Cd for umpteenth time and having a rest in bed

Now need prepare raw carrots for supper, slice cold potatoes, poach haddock and make white sauce if can face it.
wash kitchen floor
wash up baking and lunch
ds1 exercises

swanriver · 13/11/2009 14:07

EHM - how is life in the new flat?

galen · 13/11/2009 19:43

evening all
had ok day...sort of
been to get last of dd1 bday pressies this am...
home, packed lunch for dd4...nursery drop off
long walk with dog and ds2
bit of house rescue...
Library session with dd4 at nursery
Shopping on way home...mortifying experience to find not enough money left in acc for shopping so had to put several items back ...proud that I didnt end up snapping at dc out of stress...and also held back tears...and blustered out of shop asap..
Home and lots of hugs with dc to count my blessings
re-jigged bank acc...thankfully money due in tomorrow LOL
Lots of pain from unresolved spd stuff as well today...mentioned to DH(just in hope of random sympathetic comment) only to be lectured about how I did too much...hmmm what should I not do then I wonder..que argument with dh....
now feeling a bit fed up tbh...
But dog has just snuggled up to me...I love our dog LOL

Hope all poorlies on the mend
