wax crayon on blackboard - how to get it off?

yesterday i could see ds using his easel and i was absolutely delighted as he has been off art for a while now - i was cheering him on encouraging him to draw more and more. i packed him off to nursery only to realise that it was not done in chalk but crayola oil pastel crayons - what to do now?

Boiling water, perhaps? Works fine for candle wax...

neat washing up liquid worked on our flat screen TV when that had red wax crayon.

iron it? with absorbent paper/old towel underneath

thanks will try them but not all at the same time

Kim and Aggie swear by hair spray and it does work!!!

DS2 crayoned all over the wall and it gets it off easily.
