Chewing gum on jersey dress

A horrible person left chewing gum on a bus seat which my beautiful sister sat on in a new jersey dress. Anything she can do to save it? TIA.

Put the dress in the freezer :D
It will make the chewing gum harden and make it easy to peel off.
I'm sure there are other ways, but non that spring to mind right now...
