Candles in toilets?

Have heard that a lit candle / naked flame in a toilet eliminates smells.

But is it true?

Apparently if you light a match and let it burn out it eliminates smells.

It will burn off any methane that may be lingering. It won't help with any other smells, like wee or damp. TBH, opening a window for a minute will do just as well as lighting a match and waving it over the bowl of the loo.

Oh we get through lots of matches in our house.

Glade scented candles are about £1.50 each at the mo in Sainsburys, I've just stockpiled them.

Thank you, good to know - will try it out...

...although not sure leaving matches / lighter for anyone (inc DD (7)) to use is maybe the best idea?!

Maybe she can practise being at a gig in several years time, and start to wave the lighter about in the dark like Americans seem to do
