Hello again all. Just a quickie.

I've done one thing from the list I wrote earlier! Ooops. Thanks for the reminder TM. If I go out and get the measuring tape from the garage then I can rope dh in to help me measure up. Then ds and I can buy the material when we go on our shopping trip tomorrow. Dd saw the material in Laura Ashley today and she likes it, so that's ok. We also got some 'discontinued' material bits for when dd and I finally start learning how to use the sewing maching (I was ok at it when I was in school, I seem to have completely lost the knack now, though!)

TM Sorry, I've no experience of buying nice candles. Actually, that's not right. I'm sure I bought a Laura Ashley one once with rose petals or something in it. Lord knows where it is now! Give it a whirl is my only advice.

Right. Must measure up and get some stuff sorted for tomorrow as we're catching the early train. T'pip!

1. Get 12 members (one for each month of the year).

1. Decide if you have any banned genres (chick lit/mis lit etc)

1. Decide a date each month you post books.

1. Make the members into a list to show who posts to who (post the the person after you on the list).

1. Exchange addresses (either just the people posting tell their poster, or a sort of mass address giving via email that gets forwarded to everyone/the right person via a co-ordinator).

1. Post book (pref with MN name written in it!)

1. Read, enjoy and comment on that book's thread

We are hoping to start next week (Generally post on first Mon of the month). Sometimes it works really well, sometimes rl gets in the way, but we get to read books we wouldn't have considered. This year I have had 11 of the 12 books, and some of us have even got their own books back!

I've posted to ask if anyone would mind a couple of extras, but as we are currently under 12, I reckon it will be fine.

I'm probably being either thick or tired (or both) but I don't get that book club thing! Will read again tomorrow.

We don't all read the same book at the same time!
I chose a book and sent it on. We all post to the same person each time, and every month we all post the book we have to the next person, so in theory after 12 months we've all read 12 books, and got our own back.
