Karndean Knight Tile range

We're buying a Karndean floor from the Knight Tile range as the colour most closely matches what we're looking for. I'm only looking at samples at the moment so I don't know how good the final look would be. These tiles are 2mm thick and the higher price range is 3mm thick, so just wondering a bit about the difference in how realistic it looks. Any advice? Thanks!

Not sure about the Karndean but we went for the Amtico Spacia range in the end and I am very happy with it.

when we looked at karndean ( and we bought it) i dont think the look between the various grades is any different. I think with the next grade up, which is what we went for, you get a 20 yr guarantee. What we also found was that the actual difference in fitted price was very little as most of the cost is in fitting because of the specialist skills needed in screeding etc. if i remember rightly, the difference was only about 10-15% and we had 3 quotes all very similar.

The floors could be good, BUT BEWARE: the sample you see in the retailer may not be what you actually get fitted. Karndean change the finish and coatings on their products which causes the floors to have very different textures and appearances from the samples you used to choose your floor.

We ordered a Karndean floor after trying various samples in the room first. When the floor was fitted it had a dull finish and a "grainy" texture. It marks easily and quickly shows signs of use. It looks like the floor hasn't been finished properly. We raised the issue with Karndean, who refused to even acknowledge any issue, but simply informed us that a new PU coating had been applied that was not on the sample we had seen and that they "reserve the right to change patterns/textures without prior notification"!!!

So, if you want to guarantee that the floor you get is anything like the one you order, don't buy Karndean.
