He is currentlt snuggled up on the sofa with me being snotty and sorry for himself.

dp has gone back to bed]

did the mission yesterday and whilst I was still awake for a few hours during the night I did at least manage to get back to sleep eventually.

Morning all.

Good to see you Jas, Luda and grouchy. Luda your job sounds lovely What do you do?

Everyone sounds busy/tired today. I wonder whether the change in the hour will get these early wakers sleeping longer .

Had a busy day yesterday. Made halloween cards with DC in the morning then sis called and we went to aquarium. Sis and her boyfriend babysat so DH and I could have a night out .

We're all abit jaded this morning, dh and I have a touch of wine flu , ds seems to have a cold, dd is her usual unstoppable self though ( bad combination). Off to ducks when ninja turtles fininshes then I want to go to ASDA later for 1/2 price toys.

Have an easy day all .

Starbear · 25/10/2009 10:10

Morning all Have to get my skates on my family round for dinner later.
Wolf That happens to us often because of various things that happens to Ds. He sometimes takes his nappy off and gets into bed with us so we have a mattress protector on our bed too! Ds came into our bed last night (with nappy) various feet & elbows in me. Too tired to put him back. Then he was up at 6am EXTRA hour what extra hour!
Scatty Mild Wine flu is worth it for a grown up night out.
Jas my DH calls me untidy but doesn't see his own stuff thrown around the house &&& doesn't do the cooking & cleaning!!!We have had words!
TM Hobbycraft Loved that store when I had one 5mins away from my old house. I'm not very creative so had half made projects around the house
Have a nice day.
No time to post a list today might write a rough one on paper but not the same as the satisfaction of doing this DONE

Ruby

I did start taking a multivit last year after constant joint pains started to worry me, and was very surprised to find that it has improved alot!

Jas · 25/10/2009 11:17

Star/wolf - it is a cmmon scenario in our house, to. DS poos in his night nappy, too, before sleep, so I need to be quick to respond when he tells me or he tries to take that one off!

grouchyoscar · 25/10/2009 12:27

How do All you lovelies

I'm a single mum for the rest of the weekend. DH has headed off to Wemberlee with my BILs and his school mate. So it's just me and Ed until tomorrow afternoon.
I've emptied DW, rebooted WM and made a tray of imdecenty gooey brownies. Ed is playing with his PC, Bin Weevils it is today So I'm getting some rest for now. The oven needs cleaning but, ah well. The fridge needs a wipe out too. [poo!]

must rest, ttfn

galen · 25/10/2009 13:37

afternoon all

Have been to the shops for an hour on my own whoo hoo!!!
Got some more craft bits and pices for upcoming halloween crafts, also got a few bargain bits and pieces for DC for Christams yay!!
Then dropped off 2 large bags of dog food to local dog rescue (took while to figure out what our fussy puppy would eat LOL)

Unfortunately came back to find the dog chewing the corner of the stairs carpet and dd3 and 4 "painting" unsupervised in the dining room (just imagine LOTS of mess)....whilst DH was pottering round upstairs...

Still , staying positive!

Am now having cuppa the a bit to do on website....then when DS2 wakes up off for nice walk in woods with all.

BBL

galen · 25/10/2009 13:39

ruby yes... good point.... (goes off to find vitamins and remembers she has also forgotten her AD today...)

wendyhappysmile · 25/10/2009 14:08

Ruby
Must take multi vits.
Party today, think all is ready, and lots of ready made food in freezer for back up!
White choc cheesecake looks yummy! Brilliantly easy recipe too.
Been swimming. FIL upset me when he asked how many lengths I had done (remember I've just plucked up the courage aged 35 to start lessons - I've had 3 lessons!). I was so gobsmacked I just said nothing at all in reply, so suppose I must sort of apologise for being rude. He was joking but I think it was a bit unkind, tbh.
Off to make myself look presentable LOL that will take the rest of the day!
Have a good day all, prob see you tomorrow

galen · 25/10/2009 15:24

wendy goo dluck with party. grr at FIL. And would love you recipe for white choc cheesecake when you have a minute!

grouchyoscar · 25/10/2009 16:34

Great stuff with the swimming Wendy I bet you don't spend your lessons walking on the bottom and making big splashes like wot Ed does

DONE
Had a nap
Made tea (a huge veg n bacon bake and a plum and fig crumble)
Tided round

DH is now at the NFL match in London. Fairy snuff if you want to spend all night watching HUGE Americans ploughing up a national soccer pitch

SimplyWantsAMagicWandPlease · 25/10/2009 18:02

Hello again everyone.

I'm going to put my To do list here again so that I can find it easily to do it tomorrow. I have done lots this w/e but obviously not much from my list. [ooops]

To do:-
~ take charity shop bag to town with me
~ ring Lakeland
~ return mail order stuff
~ more paperwork
~ decide on the material for the sitting room curtains and get it whilst the sale is on
~ take kids to the dentist first thing

galen I must be a meanie as when the cat or dog don't like certain foods, I mix it in with food they don't like so that it gets eaten without me having to buy more. I'm sure if there was a local dog rescue centre, I'd take it there instead, though.

Ruby That's a good point about B12 levels. I'll mention that to my friend who isn't well. Another friend of mine used to buy the cheapest vit tablets she could find. She didn't realise for months that she should read the label to see how much each vitamin in the tablet was giving her as a %age of the amount she needed. I remember her being cross when she realised.

go Your meal sounds delish. I wish I'd been there!

We had rib of beef with veg and (for the first time ever) home-made Yorkshire pud for lunch. It didn't get 10 out of 10 as the chicken curry I made in 2 ticks yesterday. [grrrr]

go Do fairies really use snuff? Is that legal, then? [innocent face emoticon]

Ds is making himself pasta and cheese so I'm going to sign off now as it is a bit noisy here. See you tomorrow! I hope everyone has a decent sleep tonight esp with the changed hour making a difference to routines and sleep habits.

scattyspice · 25/10/2009 18:50

Multi vits a good idea, might even try again to get DC to take them (you never know).

Yay to the solo shopping trip galen .

Good luck with the solo parenting Grouchy.

Got lots of presents from ASDA and TKmaxx (all hidden in boot of car until DC in bed). DS doesn't seem well so not sure if he'll be going to friends tomorrow .

I have found someone who wants DDs old car seat so need to wash cover.

BB tomorrow.

Wolfcub · 25/10/2009 20:14

multi vits definately a good idea but be very careful you don't take too many especially if you already have a good diet. Vitamin "poisoning" is really not very nice

My back is playing up v badly and it has travelled to my neck so I am not very comfortable.

done
read some flylady bits for inspiration and encouragement
bed made
two trips to two different hobbycrafts - it really is the 7th circle of hell in there
kitchen surfaces tidied and cleaned
kitchen floor vaccumed
spider/muck webs from ceiling corners in the kitchen removed
wm unloaded reloaded and on
bottom few steps vaccumed whilst vac was out
mince cooked with some italian flavours before it went out of date - think dp is trying to decide whether he wants to do something with it for tea or whether we are having toast

grouchy the crumble sounds luvverly

TeaMonster · 25/10/2009 20:49

wolf Sorry about the neck, I agre on hobbycraft btw

Scatty We reviewed some multivits here and the children loved them. They taste just like sweets and we have changed our regular ones to them. The boys also take omega threes too

Groucy Your posts always make me smile

Simply I dare not look at the lakeland catalogue

We have been busy today with the {[http://themadhouse-themadhouse.blogspot.com/2009/10/pumpkins-and-all-that.html pumpkins]], but it has been a nice day.

Could you please keep a ,look out for any old candlewick blankets when you are in any charity shops girls please. Thank you

FlappyGrouchybatOscar · 25/10/2009 21:04

Wolf I overdid it on B vits a few yeats ago. I ended up in a right mess

Simply Fairy snuff is pretty soft stuff, an entry drug really. Fairy Crystal Meth is where it's at now

Like the Halloween name
