How to dry out a mobile phone?

Got soaked in the rain this morning and my mobile was in my pocket. I can see moisture behind the screen and now it won't play ball. Have disassembled and left on the window sill in the sun (of course it's sunny now I'm home!!)

Any other tips? I don't have an airing cupboard.

Ooops, I did that. Managed to salvage it and it worked for another 2-3 months although buttons were tempramental, but eaked it out till it was out of contract then got it replaced.

Maybe worth having it on a towel also to absorb more moisture?
Good lcuk!

Someone somewhere told me to dry things out with rice.

Not sure if it will work but seemingly if you put them mobile in a tub with rice, then the rice absorbs all the moisture.

May be worth a try

My daughters fone lay in a puddle overnight. I took the fone cover off and put a towel on the radiator. Put the radiator on a low heat and put the parts on to dry. The fone worked fine for over a year after that.

second the bowl of rice, but put the rice into the ariring cupbaord too for a bit of extra drying out power.
