Can I have washing machine reccomendations please

My machine is giving up the ghost and it isn't economically feasible to repair. I need a really hardwearing model. Preferably with a high spin as I have no tumble dryer and need clothes to come out with as little water in a poss.

Have around 250 to spend could possibly go to £300 if it is a really fantastic machine that will last me the next 20 years .

I would get an LG again everytime
mines still going strong after 9 years which is good compared to most

So LG's are very good then. Will research those. The best thing I've discovered since starting to look for a new machine is the drums are so much bigger now. My old machine is a 5kg one so will definately get one with a bigger load capacity.

Sadly our computer is now on the blink aswell hence it taking me so long to reply on this thread. I think the electrical store are going to love us!

Phillips Whirlpool I would swear by but I stupidly didn't check about the quick wash as it only washes at 30deg c which really annoys me. The spin is fab though.

miele, expensive but worth it i love my washing machine.

We have a john lewis own brand one, with a good spin. we got the middle model which has a faster spin than the cheapest model. They are made in germany and have a good guarantee with them. The other models JL sell were bosch, siemens and Miele which are all german (I think?) and good makes so I bought it hoping it was made by one of these but just badged up John Lewis (plus a bit cheaper of course).

Anyway, its great and being going strong for a few years now despite being used pretty much every day.

Cost about £799- not top of the range but next one down. Great- quiet, relaible and should last 20 years so J Lewis said- it is guaranteed for 10 anyway.

Previous one was a Zanussi which was still going strong after 19 years and 2 batches of teerry nappies- but we decided to get rid while the going was good as they didn't do the spare parts any more.. That was the OLD Zanussi- they are now owned by another co- Electrolux?? so not the same.
