Is this about the right cost for painting hall/landing for 4 bed house?

We have been quoted £280 for painting the hall and ceiling of a four bedroom house (walls, not ceilings). Is this about right?

We paid £150 to get lining paper hung in a square lounge room and then painted. It sounds reasonable to me as the height in a hall - assuming you are talking about the lengths running up the stairs. I would be happy paying someone that do to that job!

That's the thing Andirobobo - the height is such that we would need to buy a very tall ladder to do it ourselves. Thanks.

This is probably reasonable but still extortionate. Can't you do it yourself. Homebase (and other DIY stores) sell extending rollers to about thirteen feet. Don't use a ladder it's dangerous. These rollers come with extending metal poles
