HELP!!!! How do I get sour milk smell out of a carpet?

LO was sick and had just had milk. I shampooed it, and the sain has gone, buy the smell is awful

any ideas?

Have tried febreeze and it didn't touch it!

I had this - It's the world's worst smell.

The thing that sorted it was a solution of biological washing powder. The smell didn't go immediately, took about 24 hrs after I'd cleaned it.

Bicarb of soda is good - sprinkle on the dry carpet. Trample in. Leave for a bit. Then give the carpet another scrub.
