Help - DS2 has been ill over the table and the varnish has come off

i would probably sand it all down and start again to make sure you get an even finish, you could wax instead of varnish, that would give it a seal, instead of a layer that could be removed?

how toxic was his sick???

I don't know; how does one measure toxicity?!

i've never heard of sick removing varnish, but as i always say i know nothing

Well, the area of the table looked and felt matt, iykwim, but having rubbed tonnes of polish into it it is back to normal so I guess the varnish wasn't removed. Phew!

My friend was once sick (drunken night out) all over my feet, and it took my nail varnish off!

I feel slightly less stupid now
