TM My DD2 only has reading and tag words for homework. Spellings start after Christmas. She is Yr1. In Rec she only had reading and tag words. We don't manage to do it every night though!
She also does join up handwriting already. They are keen for them to do it by yr 1 so that they don't have to re-learn how to write when they move up the years like they used to.
Been sorting book day costumes tonight. They have to dress up as a book character on Friday. DD1 has finally chosen Phoebe the fashion fairy from Rainbow magic books. DD2 is Fifi (Had costume already!) and DS2 is SpongeBob Square pants! Fingers crossed it doesn't rain or he will be a soggy sponge!
