Sash Window Replacement

My old rickety windows are driving me crazy. Looking to get them replaced but live in a coservation area. Any advice on a good company for Double Galzed Sash Windows? - I've been to so many places and I'm getting mixed advice!

Ventrolla are fantastic, they specialize in either renovating them (if they can be it is cheaper) if not replacing them double glazed, they are recommended by the NHS Trust and do all of the English Heritage work. Hopefully there is a franchise in your area.

Thank you. But Ventrolla said they could reonovate my windows but not replace them. They are too far gone for renovation I think.

hmmm, will check something out and get back to you, my Dad used to own a few franchises, they definately used to replace as well. It may be at the descretion of the Director (how much £'s he would make) I know they used to pass some jobs to the next nearest region dependant on size & skillmanship required.

Sorry, yes he confirm just renov's now with Ventrolla, are you anywhere on the M4 corridor?, he mentioned good one's in Bracknell & Windsor for replacement sash windows.

We had Ventrolla renovate those that we could save. V are ok. Look at carpenters and even general window companies- even those most of them specialise in (evil) UPVC they still do wooden sash as well. Where are you?

we are using these people we are in a conservation area also and they ahve been v helpful. Windows not in yet though, due in next 2 weeks.
