Burnt smell in microwave- would a lemon help?

I was defosting some rolls but had put them on cook, and suddenly there was this horrible smell. Cue 2 burnt rolls, and the smell is still lingering in the microwave.
I know you can use a lemon to get rid of smells- I have my lemon, but not sure how to do it.
Any ideas???

stick a couple of lices of lemon in a bowl of water and nuke.

alternatively you could use a bowl of water with a splosh of vinegar in and nuke.

either should help get rid of the smell.
