would not recommend the vax mach 3. very unstable, one little pull and it falls over. Also the hose it no where near long enugh to get up the stairs. Hope you get some more positive recommendations!

I have a Henry- I love it! Loads of suction but we don't have pets so not sure how it is with pet hair.

deleting · 01/10/2009 20:59

miele

gingerkirsty · 01/10/2009 20:59

Agree with Dizzy - Miele = Magic! Well worth the investment

OmicronPersei8 · 01/10/2009 21:01

Miele - absolutely fantastic.

fishie · 01/10/2009 21:01

miele. but i hate the little door for the accessories, it always breaks.

chegirl · 01/10/2009 21:06

Henry/Henrietta.

I have had loads of hoovers cos DS has severe eczema and I hoover a LOT.

I like Henrys because they are simple, fairly cheap and its the only hoover I have ever owned that doesnt get bunged up.

They are quite bulky but not heavy. They dont have loads of tools and the tools have to kept seperately because there is nowhere to store them on board.

But I think mine is great and I have to say -I do know hoovers

pipsqueak · 01/10/2009 21:07

henry - hurrah hurrah!!

herjazz · 01/10/2009 21:09

henry is good

MmeLindt · 01/10/2009 21:10

Miele. Miele. Miele.

But agree about the accessories box. Mine broke the first time DS played with it I used it.

mwff · 01/10/2009 21:11

i have a sebo cylinder as it's teeny and we're pushed for storage space. has been great, best hoover i've had. was £100 iirc.

I agree on Miele. I recently bought a Miele Cat and Dog. I actually don't even mind hoovering now. It is really awesome!

bacon · 02/10/2009 14:51

Sebo - very powerful and very efficient filters too well so you have to change the bags oftern. I did some research before buying and it was a toss up between the miele and the Sebo. Sebo won due to the extra power attachment. Its a cylinder which is better if youve got a cramed house.

SardineQueen · 02/10/2009 15:01

I;ve got a sebo upright and I lurve it.

Sunshinemambo · 02/10/2009 15:03

Miele - brilliant, was requested by my cleaner after our last one died.

neversaydie · 02/10/2009 20:31

Miele cat and dog and a Roomba! The Miele is the only hoover I have ever used that copes well with carpeted stairs. And the Roomba is just wonderful and gets on with wombling up the dog hair while I do something else.

biffandchip · 03/10/2009 00:46

Henry - ours has lasted 15yrs and numerous house renovations. Never let us down yet.

hambler · 03/10/2009 00:56

kittycatty · 03/10/2009 10:59
