I've seen www.cheapcurtains.co.uk but wondered if there were any other options.

Thanks!

Dunelm Mill has very cheap curtains, not sure if they are online though.

this place has good prices (especially for made to measure) but if you are just after simple unlined curtains in standard sizes then the likes of ikea, asda, littlewoods, etc are hard to beat on price.

I have a stupid question now. If I have ordinary curtain rails that take curtains with the bunched up bit at the top and little plastic curtain hooks that hook onto a flat rail (hope you know what I mean), do I want Eyelet or Pencil Pleat or what? am flummoxed by the jargon!

for a normal rack with hooks you want Pencil Pleat

Eyelet and Tab-Top go on a wooden or metal pole.

I don't know where you are but if you have a T J Hughes by you they are very good

Ikea, I got a pair for £2 in the sale, but they are reasonable and good most of the time.

We got some gingham curtains from here, to go with the bed linen and they are very nice. Not exactly £2 - but I thought really reasonable for what they are.

I just got some lovely lined ones for £32 from Ponden Mills and they look just like Laura Ashley ones (where they were around £150!
