"It's Black Gardenia and Jasmine", said my mum proudly. Hands up who thinks Eau de Thruppenny Hoor?

My mother laundered some of my kids clothes that were left down there last visit and sent them up with my sister.

They reek.

I'm being very ungrateful, but seriously, I opened the case and felt the presence of Barbara Cartland.

What is it with these nafftastic fragrance sensations - can't clothes just smell of, well, soap?

I don't use fabric conditioner, but I laughed when I saw the previous Comfort theme which was to do with gemstones. What is a diamond or ruby supposed to smell like?

snigger · 28/09/2009 17:23

Mine must be cubic zirconia, they are fragrance free.

bran that was EXACTLY my issue with stupid gem smells.

Gems don't smell!

sassy · 28/09/2009 17:24

Can't bear fabric conditioner - any of them. They all honk of fakeness. Boak.

Who wants petrochemicals in their scanties anyway?

snigger · 28/09/2009 22:32

Is there actually such a thing as a black gardenia, by the way?

Diamonds - what do diamonds smell like?

Agree the world has gone mad, why can't they just have erm fresh or perfumed or unscented no we have to have wild daffodil, waterlily and sapphire WTF?

snigger · 28/09/2009 22:43

It would be far more honest if they would market them :

"Masks the odour of pin mould"

"Obliterates chip fat residue scents"

"You gormless fecker, you'll buy anything with a pretty label"

My mother would kill me, really.

Snigger, just think.

If we could start a worldwide rumour that diamonds DID pose a health risk, the market price would drop vastly.
You and I,my dear, would be positively dripping in the sparkly little things

snigger · 28/09/2009 22:52

Germstones it is
