Doesnt anywhere sell tablecloths any more?

I am looking for a brightly cheerful sort of everyday tablecloth, and cant find one anywhere. The options seem to be either placemats, oil cloths or "special occasion" table linen.

I just want an easy to wash bog standard cotton thing. Is this too much to ask, or is this request in the seriously outdated catagory with doilies, lace and chintz.

I did find a nice stripey cloth from John Lewis a while ago, but I've washed it so often it's looking rather faded.

Does anybody have any ideas/website recommendations.

Thanks

John Lewis still has some - nice leaf one, or the dark blue one, or the red spotty one.

I get mine from John Lewis but they are plastic covered ones to protect the table from children. They have some lovely fabrics though.

Yes, Ikea - bet they have more in store than online though.

You must live somewhere really trendy!!

All the old lady type curtain/bedding/linen shops round here have a huge selection of tablecloths, usually with matching napkins!!!

Some rather nice stripy ones at/by Jamie Oliver

The Conran Shop (if you're in London)

Wilkinson's have them, if you've got one near you. Or maybe Argos?

Dunelm do a range that have are fabric but have a teflon coating to help prevent staining.

They don't need ironing either

John Lewis and the White Company are quite good for simple easily washable ones. Also Zara Home.
