Fridge full of water

I'm sure I should know how to 'use' a fridge by my age but why am I constantly having to mop up puddles of water from the bottom of my fridge and what should I be doing to remedy the situation?

Many Thanks

I had this - it was just a question of unblocking black gunge (sp?) from the ice/water catcher thing at the back of the fridge.

old MN tip: use a piece of spag to poke down/clear the little drain hole where the gunk builds up

Thanks - will go and have a look. Any top de-gungeing tips?
