cleaning ties

does anyne know how to clean tes silk and satiny style ties without leaving water marks.
My DS1 who is at uni has lots of ruined ties and i am desperate not to throw them away

if they are polyester use vanish and chuck in washer

if they are actually silk you can get special wipes - usu on the counter in moss bros etc

if you have a dryer use this on them every vacation

and don't buy him any more replacements - they make good christmas presents

they are all silk and the lining shrinks int the wash. Also you cant iron them as it marks them

they wont clean them as the end result is rubbish and all the lining looks crumpled. They told me that b4 i risked one of them and they are a really good dry cleaners. They said ties were not worth dry cleaning.. Didnt realise ties were classed as a disposable item these days
