How to keep copper pans clean

madame · 11/09/2009 18:38

I have just bought some copper pans but since I have used them they have all water marks over them, and generally look really old and not at all new.

I really need some advice on how to keep them looking reasonable. They work great but just look all smuged and not even and shiny as when I got them.

Any advice on maintenance would be great.

Thank you

water marks don't matter, it is not dirt, put them in the cupboard and then no-one can see them.

Get some Barkeepers Friend and make up a paste with a little water and polish the pan then rinse well. It will remove the water marks and come up like new.
I have used it on an old copper tea urn that lay in the shed for 20 or so years and it came up beautifully.
