Can someone please remind me what those reusable sandwich wrap things were?

I remember seeing them on a thread somewhere and after a week of wrapping the dcs sandwiches in foil, I've decided I want to do it in a slightly more ecofriendly way. So can someone tell me what they were called again and also maybe where you can get them from.
Thanks

I used these... DS told helper his was yucky and she threw it away. Great

MrsBadger · 11/09/2009 08:58

same type of thing

Thank you so much for those links. I'll be ordering a few of those I think.
I don't think there's any risk of them being binned, seeing that they even come home with their empty, but eaten crip packets and yoghurt pots.

I really like the idea of those, but doesnt the fabric outside get dirty from everything else in their lunchbox?
Mine come home with their rubbish still in the bag and I can imagine the outside would be covered in manky banana, yoghurt and crumbs.

fishie · 11/09/2009 09:44

do they wrap tightly enough to hold the sandwich together? my homemade bread can be a bit crumbly so needs a firm wrapping.

Belgianchocolates · 11/09/2009 09:50

Chopstheduck and fishie. Good questions. I didn't think of that, though I sort of expected the wraps needing regular wasing anyway. I'll keep an eye out for the answers.

I wipe out the inside every day, and wash it once a week (unless it is yoghurt covered or something then it would be sooner). Realyl could do with a few more so I could wash more often

fishie · 11/09/2009 13:23

can one wrap them up nice and tight flame?

Flamesparrow · 11/09/2009 23:13

They seem to go fairly tight...

I've just ordered a couple from here. They have more interesting fabric than Onya.

DesperateHousewifeToo · 13/09/2009 16:02

I have two 'wrap-it' ones.

I always wash them up in the washing up bowl after every use and they dry overnight (although I have two for one child).

Very useful.

You could sew a nametape onto the label too if lots of children had them.

Has anyone bought one of the ones from the first link? Are they plastic lined too, or just fabric?

The designs of the 'wrap-it' ones are quite boring by comparison.

DesperateHousewifeToo · 13/09/2009 16:05

Sorry, mine are 'wrap n mat', not wrap-it

FabBakerGirlIsBack · 13/09/2009 16:05

I have the ones that Flamesparrow linked to but ime they are only good for sandwiches made with a whole slice if bread and not half a slice as the velcro isn't in the right place to fasten them. I had to put the half sandwich in diagonally to get it anywhere near closed.

FabBakerGirlIsBack · 13/09/2009 16:06

slice OF bread
