grouchy sympathies re fatigue, i can barely stay awake myself and i have no excuse.

To do:
DS to school done Lidldone lunchdone
DD to schooldone
Hairdressers for sassy new cut and colour befitting oh so together mum of school age children .done
Hope dh remembers to collect dc done teadone
Night out with fabulous husband while lovely friend babysits

Well I have fab new (blonde) hair. I am expecting lots more fun. Starting with date night .

Well I haven't been UTTERLY useless today as I have done the following since my last post:

• dishwasher
• squirted Vanish magic carpet foam about and scrubbed at it with the hoover end while hoovering it.
• bubble baths for kids
• kids tea (microwave pizzas)

We are having a pizza delivery later yipee!

Just to remind myself - LOOK in the children's school book bags before Monday because there are probably important letters and I think DS has a party invite already and he's only been at school a week!

ActingNormal Must be tough if he is away from home often. On the other hand it can allow you some freedom too. doing nothing but I had quite a few of those days over summer
MakingChanges I once used a slim tough bristled bottle brush down the plug hole it worked very well! The hair wasn't mine it was another woman's! but that another story!
RR Good luck sorry can't give you tips as I'm too much of a coward and haven't changed jobs in 15 years
Simply I can't drink caffine after 7pm but hate herbals, I drink half cup of hot skimmed milk OH!& wine at night

We have had a super duper day, just got the boys to bed, will download pictuers and do a blog update. Hope this fine weather continues, I have rather a red face from the sun.

Good evening all. I know, I know, it's date night but ds is still out and until a short while ago I thought I'd have to go and fetch him but now he's having a lift home and dh and I are both drinking wine he's in the living room watching Mr Bean and I'm in the kitchen.

Starbear Thanks, but I don't think a half cup of hot skimmed milk is going to be an improvement for me on a herbal tea! [snigger] In the last 22 years (since I've been legally old enough to drink) I've been fond of Pimms (actually, I was only 17 then), Martini and lemonade, Baileys Irish Cream, Tia Maria and coke, Port and lemonade (and I learnt to drink it neat when I didn't have any lemonade), beer, red wine and white wine. Oh and Asti Spumante and Lambrusco light (or something like that) should feature in there somewhere. I do like hot milk and honey when it's wintry and evening time.

Ah, I like your 'carry over' wording. I think I'll adopt that too!

I can just imagine that in a soap or something on the tv. Unfortunately, I can visualise it in the sense that the audience are supposed to look horrified and entranced, wondering if it'll work or be a total disaster! As for your first line from your last post, dd told me once "You're USELESS you are!" She said it with such feeling that I laughed and laughed!

RR That's basically the line of work I've been doing for the last 20 yrs (bar time off having kids and for illness).

Revised done list:-
~ walk the dog done by dh
~ washing up
~ sort out oldish bath towels

Carry over:-
~ strip bed and wash bedding
~ post stuff to Boden on Mon

Oh, I haven't sorted out a haircut for tomorrow yet, nor tights and a handbag for tomorrow night. Ooops, nor travel arrangements. I think we're going to catch the bus home, if I can walk the last mile in my new shoes! Though the bus leaves at 10pm and we might still be eating at that time. It has been known. I think I'll not drink and I'll drive us home.

Love Martini & Coke But everyone laughs when I order it Why? Pimms lovely, Baileys of course. Sloe Gin yummy! I used to drink Pernod & orange juice until I was sick in my sleep and didn't Know (those days are gone ha ha! Can't drink red wine It doesn't like me!
Must go now and do something productive like watch telly. Oh! & thank you for liking my carry over but I mustn't over use it

Ruby well done on the job interview - sounds great.

Trout didn't get cooked. I started a big declutter of the bedroom after I had done the bathroom and when DH came home at 8pm I was still cleaning. I have got rid of 2 big black bags full of stuff though. Ended up with KFC for tea - The diet is going sooooo well.

Went to shop and managed to find another photo album (twice as much as first one though) but they match so finished that job off.

Off to wake DH up who is asleep on settee and off to bed.
