is there such a thing as a large, cheap toy cupboard?

as my ds(8) is a hoarder and cleaning his room is turning into a nightmare. at the moment everything is stored in plastic boxes.

bookcase is heaving with dr who videos too.

books just get piled up in sort of categories.

We don't have a cupboard, because then you can't see what you've got, we use

these from Ikea

They are brilliant for storing toys, books and games. You can easily separate stuff and access what you want because it's all visible.

is it really strong? some of the boxes we have are quite heavy! looks good though, will measure to see if it will fit

Yes it is really strong. DH has also fitted a bracket to attach it to the wall in case it were to be pulled over. It swallows up an enormous amount of stuff.
