Vomit on sofa :-(

Yesterday DS (10 months) threw up all over me and our (futon) sofa yesterday afternoon. It was mostly milk and yoghurt, so all white. We cleaned it off with towels and wipes as best possible, then DH attacked it with upholstery cleaner, and stain-wise it isn't too bad now.

But it stinks! At first it smelt of chemicals and sick (from the cleaner), then just of sick again. We sprayed it with Febreze earlier, so it smelled of Febreze for a while, but now that's faded and it just smells of sick again.

Is there any way to get rid of the smell? Though it's a futon, the cover isn't removable

WHite vinegar and water?

Hiring a Rug Doctor is your best bet. Approx £30-40 hire I think for 24 hours. Expensive to hire for just the futon but if you do all your carpets with it at the same time then it's probably worth it!

Got black sick out of our sofa....

Hmmmm, not sure we've got the money, but we're hoping to move soon and the carpets could probably do with a clean as well (we rent and would really like our deposit back! Sofa is ours though).
